XML Data Feed: How to Select Products for Your XML Feed

Customize your DistributorCentral XML Feed with Product Collections. After you've created an XML Feed, follow these steps to select which products are available within your feed: 

1. Click Products in the left side menu
   
   
   
2. Choose Feeds and Plugins
   
   
   
3. Find the XML Product Data Feeds section (3rd section from the top)
   
   
4. Click Edit to the right of your XML Feed
   
   
5. Then click Edit Products on the next screen
   
6. Click Products in the left side menu
   
   
   
7. Choose Feeds and Plugins
   
   
   
8. Find the XML Product Data Feeds section (3rd section from the top)
   
   
9. Click Edit to the right of your XML Feed
   
   
10. Then click Edit Products on the next screen
    
    
    
11. Next, click Add Collection (a New Collection will appear at the bottom of the page)
    
    
12. Name the New Collection by clicking the title "New Collection"
    
    
13. Then click Add Filter
    
    
14. Select a filter you'd like to apply to your collection. For this example, we'll choose "Theme"
    
    
    NOTE: Each filter will have its own customization options. For example, the Theme Filter lets you select from a pre-determined list of Themes that Suppliers assign their products too. 
    
    
    1. In this example, we'll choose the "Football" Theme by searching the Available Options and clicking the plus sign to the right
       
       
    2. Click Save at the bottom right
       
       
15. After you've applied all the desired filters to your Product Collection, click Publish under Overview
    
    
    
16. Review the changes you're about to publish
    
    
17. Click Publish all changes

After you've created your custom Product Collection, add your Product Collection's catalogGUID number to your XML Feed URL to return only the products within that collection.
